HUNTSVILLE, AL — Food lovers, mark your calendars — Huntsville Restaurant Week returns August 8–17, bringing ten days of culinary creativity, local pride, and the chance to win some tasty prizes.
Now in its 13th year, the event spotlights Huntsville’s diverse dining scene, from cozy neighborhood cafes to upscale kitchens pushing the boundaries of Southern cuisine. Participating restaurants will offer exclusive menus, special pricing, and limited-time dishes, giving residents and visitors alike a reason to explore beyond their usual favorites.
A Digital Twist: The Rocket City Dish Pass
This year’s event introduces the Rocket City Dish Pass, a free mobile passport that lets diners “check in” at participating restaurants to earn points toward prizes. Rewards include gift cards, dining experiences, and the grand prize — a two-night stay at 106 Jefferson, one of Huntsville’s premier boutique hotels, complete with a curated food tour of the city.
“Huntsville’s food scene has exploded in recent years, and Restaurant Week is the perfect opportunity to experience that growth,” said Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau spokesperson Kristen Pepper. “The Dish Pass makes it fun and easy to turn your meals into a foodie adventure.”
More Than a Meal
Organizers say the event is also about supporting small businesses and showcasing the cultural diversity that fuels Huntsville’s growth. From international flavors to inventive twists on Alabama classics, Restaurant Week has become a platform for chefs to experiment and for residents to taste something new.
