SPEAKIN’ OUT NEWS

DECATUR, Ala. — GE Appliances has announced a sweeping $3 billion investment across its U.S. operations, with the company’s Decatur facility near Huntsville slated to benefit from the expansion.
Company officials said the investment is aimed at boosting manufacturing capacity, modernizing facilities, and creating new jobs to meet growing consumer demand. While specific job numbers for the Decatur plant have not yet been released, leaders emphasized that Alabama’s workforce will play a key role in the expansion.
“Decatur is an important part of our manufacturing footprint, and we’re excited to build on its success as we invest in the future of GE Appliances,” the company said in a statement.
The Decatur facility is one of the region’s largest industrial employers, producing top-load washing machines and other home appliances for nationwide distribution. The new investment is expected to strengthen its role in Huntsville’s growing manufacturing and technology corridor.
The $3 billion expansion plan reflects GE Appliances’ long-term strategy to keep more production in the United States, while driving innovation and competitiveness in a global market.
