To verify your registration, visit madisoncountyvotesal.gov.  You will need to input the following information: your name, address, date of birth, and email address.  Note that the polling location can be verified in the same manner. If you aren’t registered to vote, you can visit the Alabama Secretary of State website and apply electronically. You can also download a voter registration form from the Secretary of State’s site, fill it out, and mail it to the local office of the Board of Registrars in which you reside. Finally, if you don’t have access to the internet, you can call 1-800-274-8683 to request an application or send a request to: Office of the Secretary of State, Elections Division, PO Box 5616, Montgomery, AL 36103.

August 19, 2025– This is the last day to return an application for a regular absentee ballot by mail. You may apply for an absentee ballot if you:  expect to be out of the county on election day, are physically incapacitated,  expect to work a minimum 10 hour shift that coincides with polling hours,  are currently incarcerated but are otherwise eligible to vote, have been appointed as an election officer at a different polling place, a student at an educational facility outside your permanent county or residence, or are a caregiver for a family member.  To obtain an absentee ballot, write or visit the Madison County Circuit Clerk located at 100 North Side Square, Huntsville, AL 35801.  Madison County Absentee ballots can be returned in person or via mail to the same address. Applications returned in person must be received no later than 5 days before the election.
