Judge (Ret) Sherrod is a partner in the firm of Conchin, Cole, Jordan & Sherrod. Named in the Best Law Firm in America (2020-2021) the firm focuses in the areas of Personal Injury, Wrongful Death, Property Damage and Workmen’s Compensation. She served the North Alabama community for more than 25 years as Assistant District Attorney, Presiding Municipal and State Court Judge. She served on numerous local, state, and national boards, bar association committees, task forces and was a charter member of the Alabama Civil Justice Foundation and the Ivy Center Foundation. She served as the 35th Chair of the Judicial Council of the National Bar Association, President of the Alabama Lawyer’s Association, and Region IX Director for the National Bar Association. The first person of African descent to win an atlarge election in North Alabama, she developed the first Family Drug Court in Alabama. She continues to serve as Vice President for Administration of the National African American Drug Policy Coalition (NAADPC). She serves on the State Democratic Executive Committee, and is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and the Links, Incorporated.
