LAST WEEKEND
I had a great weekend despite the cold weather and snow. I stayed over Friday night at my daughter’s house and watched movies all night with her and her husband. Saturday night I spent the night with my son and his family, and his wife had her mother stay the night as well. Their oldest son came home from Auburn for the weekend and it was so good to see him. We had a great dinner and movie night at got up Sunday and went to church and breakfast.
SPRING BREAK
Our city schools are out this week and I hope all the students and teachers have a great and well-deserved time off. Get out and enjoy that extra hour of daylight.
MY APOLOGY
I want to apologize to the city leaders if I was too tough on them at the last City Council meeting. I was still upset over the tearing down of the downtown parking garage and was even more upset having to park so far from the municipal building and walk 2 blocks to the city council meeting. I ran in to several people that work at the courthouse and they were not too happy about the parking issues this has caused either. Commissioner Dale Strong begged me to talk with the mayor to try save the garage but I was never able to do so. As it stands our leaders voted to go thru with these terrible decisions and the builders moved in to tear it down. I am sorry if I was too mean at the council meeting and I do love you all. I just wish you would listen from and work better for all the great people of Huntsville.
GAS TAX
Please do know blame Governor Ivey for our gas prices. Blame Washington politicians for this. It seems politicians have forgotten who put them in office and who they are supposed to be serving as public servants. They don’t care or even speak on the issues that are occurring and could care less about our public safety. It is time for many of these politicians to be replaced by ones that genuinely care about the People. Love you all and have a blessed week
