‘Armed and dangerous’ suspects sought in murder, robbery of 54-year-old Anniston man

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects in the murder and robbery of a 54-year-old man in Anniston.

Jeffrey A. Brodeur, a grandfather of two, was shot to death about 8:30 p.m. Feb. 1 in the 2000 block of Front Street. Multiple suspects entered the establishment, brandishing firearms, demanding money and belongings from the patrons inside. The establishment has not been identified.

Anniston police on Thursday released images of two suspects they are trying to identify. The video shows the two men, both wearing hoodies, counting money.

Police said they should be considered armed and dangerous.

Central Alabama Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward.

Family said Brodeur was an avid fisherman and loyal University of Alabama football fan. He was a longtime employee of Snow Glass and Just Frame it.

“He loved his family and friends and was a friend to all he met,” according to his obituary.

Brodeur is survived by his only son and best friend Terry Brodeur. He was a beloved grandfather of two young children.
